The vineyards exposed to the south are characterised by deep tufaceous grounds at 300 metres a.s.l. on the hills overlooking both the area of Arezzo with Cortona and the Senese area with Montepulciano. These wines are the result of careful grape selection, meticulous vinification, ageing and refinement in small Slavonian oak casks (25/30 Hl approximately) in the ancient wine cellar in Montepulciano Stazione' s centre.
At the end of the ageing process they are transferred to Chianciano's cellar - one of the most picturesque in Valdichiana Senese - to get ready for bottling.
Here Tuscany's classic wine making process reaches its climax thanks to state-of-the-art wine industry equipment . After refining in bottles, these wines can be eventually marketed.
AGRICOLA GAVIOLI's philosophy promotes both traditional and fancy wines made using modern systems and equipment and aiming at just one goal:
GAVIOLI'S TOP QUALITY.
