Enrique Mazzola, ambassador of Vino Nobile, opens a Deutsche Oper Berlin series devoted to great works by Meyerbeer with a concert version of Dinorah. This rarely performed French opéra comique combines lyrical, folkloric and comic elements. The very famous aria - Ombre légère is sung by the title role – Dinorah.
The opera will be performed at the Berliner Philharmonie on 1st October. This project marks the development of a long partnership of Mazzola with the orchestra and chorus of Deutsche Oper Berlin with whom he enjoys a long relationship (Le Vaisseau fantôme by Dietsch, Falstaff, a new production of Barbiere di Siviglia).
This performance starts a fantastic 2014-2015 season for Mazzola who makes his debut at the Zurich Opera House, conducts a new production of Poliuto by Donizetti at Glyndebourne Festival along with numerous symphonic concerts with his French orchestra (Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France).
